“Collisions of the New Millennium”, Total Arts Gallery at the Courtyard By Mohsen Jamalinik, Tuesday 13th January 2009 - 5th February.
The attacks of September 11, US troops invading into Iraq and Afghanistan, the nuclear arms race, depletion of the ozone layer, divorces and worldwide increasing sectarian conflicts are just few tragedies of the new millennium which occupy artist Mohsen Jamalinik and which are mirrored in his paintings.
In his fatalist fears he predicts the extinction of beauty and humanity.
But even these evilest catastrophes can be manifested in the most eminent beauty.
In his Hadron series, which he worked on when the LHC (Large Hadron Collide) experiment was still only a theory, Mohsen “performed” the experiment of the world’s most powerful particle accelerator scientists ever conceived and built on his canvases to see the effects and if the start of this machine would mark the end of the world.
