The Third Line, Dubai
With his latest works, Amir H. Fallah recreates scenes from made up childhood stories. The paintings are surreal and imagined similar to the ones Fallah used to make believe as an only child to keep himself entertained. Older and wiser, it seems slightly harder to ‘make believe’. Fallah has to in turn make himself believe. With overlapping fore/ middle/ back grounds and borders, Fallah constructs tableaux of iconic Hollywood-esque symbolism of desert landscapes and humorous imagery.
