Ebtisam AbdulAziz
ARTIST, CRITIC, CURATOR
Ebtisam Abdul Aziz plays an active role in the Emirati contemporary art scene both as an artist and a published writer. As an artist, she has exhibited in the Singapore Bienniale, Kunst and Stuttgart Museums in Germany and held a solo at the Sharjah Art Museum. In 2007 she co-curated ‘Window’ a show of 16 Emirati contemporary artists in Dubai.
As part of her enthusiasm for furthering art education in the Middle-East, Ebtisam regularly publishes articles on local and international artists, both in Arabic and English.

1999 - Member of the Dubai Youth Theater & Art Atelier
1999 - Member of the Emirates Fine Art Society, Sharjah UAE.
1999 - Bachelor’s Degree in Science & Mathematics.
Since 2000 - Assistant Instructor in Painting during Arts summer activities.
2004- 2005 - Member of ‘Al Taskeel’ Editors Magazine- Fine Art Society.
Since 2004 - Extensive range of articles published through the local Press.
2006- Assistant Curator of ‘ Window Exhibition’ – 16 UAE Artists- Total Arts Gallery- Dubai
2006- Participated in a (Criticism & Creativity) Seminar with the Dep’t of Culture & Information Directorate of Art Arabic, Art Centre.
2007- Member of “EMIRATES FOUNDATION” Panel, Grant Program for Art.
2007- Member of “ Emirates photography competition” jury, Abu Dhabi
2008- COLLECTING IDEAS: A WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS- workshop is based on the exhibition Collected Visions: Modern and Contemporary Works from the JP Morgan Chase Art Collection’, held in International Financial Centre (DIFC)
