What is ChinarTree?
ChinarTree is the result of four years work in Indian and Middle Eastern contemporary art in Dubai. It’s concept and creation is based on the belief that Dubai, being a hotbed for regional and international contemporary art, is in need of more informed and critical discussion surrounding the spike in art interests in the region.
ChinarTree aims to be the first widely accessible art resource and forum in widening the written, spoken and discursive circle on art events, exhibitions, debates and gatherings in Dubai and the rest of the Middle East.
Our contributors include recognised journalists, critics, artists, curators and academics in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. These writers share in ChinarTree’s vision of wishing to create a rich and diverse resource-base for artists, students, critics and collectors involved in the Middle East art scene.
ChinarTree was conceived and created by Jyoti Dhar.
